There is so much to see and do that every day is an adventure. The people of Thailand are very friendly and helpful and sure to make your stay an enjoyable one. On this website you can find out everything you need to know to get assistance and find the right accommodation in Thailand. We have researched the provision of disabled facilities in Thailand, and while there is much lacking, there is however an increasing awareness that some people have special requirements that with a bit of forethought, can be catered for. There are a growing number of hotels, resorts, guesthouses and private villas with wheelchair ramps, wide doorways, low light switches, grab rails and wheel-in showers and many larger resorts have specifically designed disabled-adapted rooms. We provide an extensive choice of tours ranging from the adventurous to the spectacular; there are activities here to suit everyone’s taste and lifestyle.
Our company, Disabled Thailand, is based in Phuket and this is the starting point. There is perhaps no where in the world with such a variety of things to see and do – fly in a helicopter, take a boat up a jungle river, learn to dive or sail. All these things are possible and available to disabled people coming to Phuket, if you have the adventurous spirit in you. We are always seeking new wheelchair friendly tours and activities and accessible accommodation and are actively encouraging local businesses to provide handicapped facilities and accessibility. You will find our website is constantly growing and evolving as we add more and more – tours, activities. accomodation, destinations, travel advice.
